!Basket of Hammers

!Basket of Hammers in use

!Basket of Hammers combines chunky, irregular capitals with scraped edges and small gaps in the strokes. The letters do not sit with the even rhythm of a clean sans serif: their shifting shapes create a rough, handmade headline. Numerals carry the same worn texture, which helps a date or price fit into the design.

Try it for a gig poster, a zine cover or a deliberately rough label. Keep the words short and retain enough size for the damaged edges to remain visible. At small sizes, the texture can merge into the surrounding strokes.
